Hi there.
Raised in New Mexico and Idaho, I showed an affinity for art at an early age by starting to draw as soon as I was able to hold a crayon. I grew up sketching and painting (my first love). I made my move to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 1997 to attend The Art Institute of Seattle. After inhaling every bit of my education and any volunteer art job I could get my hands on, I graduated in 1999 with a dual degree in graphic design and illustration.
After graduation, I immediately went off to Eddie Bauer as a production specialist in their retail and catalog divisions. From there, I went on to Nordstrom to design prints and graphics for their baby and toddler clothing lines. After gaining very specialized skills in fashion design CAD programs there (and the adventures life throws in the mix), I continued on to do graphic design and art direction for a couple of consulting firms. After that, I moved into in-house advertising/marketing at Icom America Inc, went off on my own for a bit doing freelance work, and currently working for a world-renowned glass sculpture artist. I specialize in print design, compiling large amounts of information into cohesive presentations, art direction, corporate branding and enjoy wearing many hats throughout the process from start to finish.
I enjoy working independently and I also thrive in the creative collaboration process with teams. I am happy holding the vision as lead or jumping right in to create from start to finish (from concept to design to production) or anywhere in between. You could say I have a very well-rounded background in design - which gives me a great foundation to pull from.
Other than designing my surroundings, I also take pleasure in snowboarding, hiking, cycling, traveling, volunteering, attending art festivals, reading, spending time with friends/family, and supporting local artists.
Want to know more or have questions? I'd love to hear from you.
